1.   What is a LocalXO experience?

LocalXO is on a mission to take experiences to the next level in Chennai. 

While being invited to commercial events, private parties and signing up for classes is plenty appealing, we are thinking far beyond the regular experiences. We are stepping it up plenty of notches. Think pop up dinners with exotic food, curated gourmet markets, master classes, niche workshops like using your smartphone to take professional looking shots from a renowned photographer. You can experience all this and more within an intimate group setting that can be customised to your taste. 

Being born and raised in Chennai for the last 30 odd years, we pride ourselves on curating the most amazing experiences at the best possible venues across Chennai. Our unrivalled commitment to customer service means that booking a suitable date couldn't be easier, whether online through our secure website or by speaking to one of our friendly and knowledgeable Customer Service Team consultants.

2.     Where can I buy LocalXO experiences?

There are two easy ways to purchase experiences:

  2. By calling our Customer Service Team on +91 98403 37822

Please note that we do not entertain any walk-ins or cash-on-delivery.

3.     How do I find and book an experience on LocalXO?

  • Browse through LocalXO’s experiences by category to pick your favourites. The Upcoming events are listed on the home page for easy access.
  • Add your favourtite experiences and the number of tickets for each experience to your cart
  • If you are a first time user, enter your name, email ID, phone number and address in order to receive your booking confirmation through email.
  • You will also receive an email from LocalXO to activate your account. Please follow the instruction in your email to complete activation and creating your profile on LocalXO (This is a one-time process).
  • Verify your experience details, number of tickets and the amount payable in the Order Summary.
  • Choose your preferred mode of payment. Curently, we have the Payumoney payment gateway integrated to LocalXO.
  • Once you have made the payment and agreed to our terms of use, you will receive a confirmation email with your order number. Please give it a few minutes to receive this email.
  • Incase you haven’t received the confirmation email, please call us on our helpline number +91 98403 37822 for any assistance Mon-Sat between 10 AM and 7 PM
  • On the day of the experience, you will be asked to show your confirmation email to verify your booking at the venue.
  • For group bookings, private parties, corporate bookings, please call our concierge at +91 98403 37822 to customise and book our experiences.

4.     Can I personalise an experience as a gift voucher with a message?

Yes, you can. We believe there is no better gift than an experience. Contact us via email or phone and once we understand your requirements we will get it done.

5.     Do I have to choose a specific date for the experience when I buy?

Most of our experiences have a specific date as mentioned in the details of that specific experience. Other experiences are left “open-dated” with no dates – in order to book these “open-dated” experiences for a private party, corporate group, or any group bookings, please call our concierge on +91 98403 37822 to complete the bookings. Please note that all dates are subject to availability.

6.     Are there any restrictions (e.g. age, gender) that I need to consider before buying?

Certain experiences are subject to gender or age requirements specified by our partners depending on the type of experience for example women only events. Full details are included with all experience information and we will notify you of any such restrictions when you submit your booking request. Once a booking is confirmed, it will not be possible to cancel if these requirements cannot be met, so please check carefully.

7.     What payment types do you accept?

We are currently accepting payments through Payumoney payment gateway which allows payments through NEFT, Credit/Debit cards and wallet. 

Please note international cards are NOT accepted through the payment gateway.

8.     How can I contact LocalXO?

9.  If I wish to cancel or booked a wrong experience, can I get a refund?

As per our refund policy, all bookings purchased are deemed sold and hence, it is not possible to cancel, replace or refund a confirmed booking. Please look through the details carefully before booking an experience.

However, if there is a cancellation of the experience from the partner’s or LocalXO’s end, we will refund the entire amount back to you within 1 week of the scheduled date of experience.
