What is it?
How many of you have been to a chocolate pairing session? How many of you know how to pair chocolate with food and wine? How many of you have dined with strangers at a cozy, intimate venue you don't know?
Now imagine all of the above combined into one beautiful evening in a pop up style experiential dining experience. The idea is to provide a great experience for chocolate lovers and foodies alike via a carefully curated 4 course pairing session.
We guarantee you will go home fully satiated with chocolate, food and conversations!
- You will experience 4 rounds of pairing of ~8 exquisite chocolates with suitable accompaniments. The chocolates are single origin from Grenada, Madagascar, Peru & India and crafted to perfection locally by Kocoatrait
- You will be interacting with a chocolate expert who will go through the flavour profile and origins of the chocolates
- You will be interacting with a wine expert who will talk you through how the chocolates can be paired with locally available wines
- Each round of tasting will end with perfectly paired plates of food that bring out the nuances of the chocolate (see menu attached)

About your hosts:
Chocolate by Kocoatrait, an initiative to bring the best fine chocolates to consumers in Chennai for their appreciation. Poonam Chordia, is India's first certified lady chocolate taster (from IICCT, UK) and promotes sustainability via her brand of chocolates Kocoatrait. Nitin Chordia, her husband, is India’s first professionally certified cocoa/ chocolate taster.
Food by Chef Namrata Sundaresan: Namrata loves to explore cuisines. She believes that every region has something exciting to offer. Wherever she travels she researches on local food and brings home some of the condiments that are intrinsic to the region. She will also be using fresh cheese, condiments and dips locally made by her brand Kase who specialize in 'clean' products with no added preservatives, emulsifiers or additives.
Praveen Krishnamurthy a wine guru & enthusiast will talk about wines that can be paired with the menu. Praveen is also a wine Investment advisor and rated as the first in the country to be so. He facilitates a lot of wine tasting events across the country.
